Actor Glen Shadix, best known for his role as the interior decorator in "Beetlejuice," died today in his home in Birmingham, Alabama.

Although the article says he retired from acting, he did not. He continued to work with director Tim Burton on projects and did a lot of voiceover work.

My family loves that scene from Beetlejuice--whenever the kids (even those who are adults now) hear the Banana Boat Song, they run over to chairs and perform.

he also played half of a gay couple who were the supers in jerry seinfeld's building. i really loved his character on seinfeld.

I loved him in Demolition Man. RIP Glenn Shadix!
