Adolf Hitler DNA samples suggest that the dictator of Nazi Germany had both Jewish and African roots.

The tests were conducted by Jean-Paul Mulders, a Belgian journalist, and Marc Vermeeren, a historian, Telegraph reported. The pair tracked down 39 of Hitler’s living relatives throughout Europe and America to obtain saliva samples which ultimately suggest African and Jewish ancestry.

Based on reports by NewYorkDailyNews.com, the Haplopgroup E1b1b (Y-DNA) chromosome found in the samples is rarely found in Western Europeans.

Instead, “it is most commonly found in the Berbers of Morocco, in Algeria, Libya and Tunisia as well as among Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews,” Vermeeren said in Knack, the Belgium magazine in which the findings were published.

Hitler’s ancestry has been questioned before as historians suggested he is of Jewish ancestry, but this time there is scientific evidence to back up the claim, and to add to it.

If Hitler knew even a kernel of this, it would be the perfect example of self-hate.

But isn't there more than enough evidence to suggest that he had some idea of this, particularly his Jewish side?

I mean a guy who wants to create a race of blonde haired blue eyed people when he himself doesn't fit the description never quite added up.

He did know about the Jewish part if I recall. The Black part not so much.

If I recall, there were allegations and speculations about the Jewish part, but since no one knew for sure who his paternal grandfather was, it was all speculation.

Meanwhile, understanding that ethnic groupings can be a fluid social construct, would Berber be considered "Black"?

Everything south of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya & Egypt (i.e. North Africa) is considered black....

I have divergent ideas about "Northern Africa" and will not go into here...

But Berbers are from North Africa/the Maghreb.
