Favorite Moment

What is your favorite moment or favorite memory of Beta Sigma Phi?

I'll never forget conducting the pledge ritual for my newly chartered chapter in my little third floor apartment. Of course, I was also doing the ritual for myself since we were all brand new pledges!

And my online chapter threw me an "online" baby shower before the birth of my first son. So sweet!

I would like to post my mother's favorite moment of Beta Sigma Phi, as I'm not sure I posted it before.

We had just moved into a newly built house and she wanted to entertain the ladies of her chapter. I was home with tonsillitis. I heard screams and ran out into the living room. A precious little mouse had come to visit the chapter!

(Actually, my mother never got over it, lol.)

My favorite moment is when I realized this organization is vital enough to attract 20 and 30 year-olds, yet relevant enough that 60 and 70 year olds are still active participants!

I have friends who were in GLO's in college, and they aren't active in alumnae organizations at all - and to me that just seems sad :(

So I'm looking forward to many many happy years with Beta Sigma Phi!

The age spread in BSP is part of the beauty of the organization. When the charter members of my land chapter received the Ritual of Jewels, we held a tea for all of the chapters in our City Council. My sisters and I were between 19 and 24 years old, and one of the ladies in attendance was celebrating her 90th birthday! She was just as active in her chapter as we were.:)
