No, when one handset died, the other still worked. That is pretty nuts.

I have a two handset Uniden that does not do that. Are you sure the base one is plugged into the wall? Could it have come unplugged?

Since you said that you just got it, do all of the handsets have batteries in them?

Ditto on the Uniden!
