Pledging this fall!

Hello! I'm going to be pledging at VCU this fall :) the tips on this forum have been amazing!

Actually, you are going to be rushing this fall, unless you were issued a bid the previous semester.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched.

I think she just has her terminology mixed up, I know I was confused with all the new words when I went through.

You're rushing when you're going through recruitment; pledging happens AFTER you've accepted a bid.

I want to buy a kente stole for a female friend of mine. I am not in a sorority. Is it taboo to buy sorority paraphernalia as a gift if you are not a member? I saw some really cool greek bracelets on that site as well (http://www.kentecloth.net) that I am thinking of buying. Any thoughts?
