Carrie Underwood - Wedding

Sorry for crashing, but I'm curious.

I assume you have a tradition of sisters singing to brides at their wedding reception. Did your sister, Carrie Underwood, have her sisters sing to her this weekend? If I'm correct, her chapter sisters are the ones who encouraged her to try out for A. Idol. Is this accurate? Besides visiting convention a few years ago, has she "thanked" the sorority for having a hand in launching her career? I'm always curious whether those who become famous later in life give back to their sorority.

I am also crashing, but...

The florist who did Carrie's wedding also does weekly arrangements for my building, and this week he reused some of her flowers for our lobby. They are the largest pink hydrangea blooms you've ever seen and pink lilies. Just thought I'd share!

That sounds really pretty!

There were indeed a few sisters present at Carrie's wedding (my Convention roommate says a few of her closest chapter sisters went, hence them not being in Minneapolis!)

I haven't followed her career as much as some other sisters do, but I do know that she was our 2007 Keynote speaker, and stayed til about 2:00 am to sigh autographs and take pictures.

In addition, Carrie is a major donor to our Foundation (at the highest level.) She also contributed a TON of signed items, concert tickets, etc. to our 2010 Foundation auction.

Blondie93 likes this.

Good for Carrie and for all of Sigma.

She's a good woman. We're glad to count her among her ranks. I heard some fun stories about her freakouts meeting some of our past Executive Council members (National officers - they're just like us!).

And if her and that cutie Mike want to join us in Orlando, well...I won't argue that point, haha. Maybe Mike will bring some cute hockey players for the single Sistas and get my hockey-obsessed fiance off my back so I can hang out with the Sigmas!

She is the cover girl for this up coming weeks People magazine! It looks like it'll have a bunch of information and pictures from her big day! Cannot wait to see how gorgeous she looks and how everything was!

I also wholeheartedly agree on her and Mike bringing along some fiiiiine single hockey players to Orlando in 2013. :p
