Going Grad
I'm 29 years of age. I will graduate with a 4 year degree next May. Can anyone give me any pointers on how to prepare for membership into a grad chapter and also, how to pick one. No offense, but from the outside looking in, it appears that all greeks are about the same business. I appreciate your responses.

for starters, read thru this site because this has been asked before. secondly, most greek orgs. have websites that will help you in your research. i see what you are saying but each org. is different, i can assure you. lastly, don't just rely on the web for answers, get to know the greeks on your campus and in your area in order to network and see which one works for you.

It is my understanding that you MUST be INVITED!!!! I don't think you have a choice unless you are already greek

I've heard about the invite's once before, but in order to be invited, you have to know what's going on. Unfortunatly, I'm in an area (military)that it's hard to be seen in. The college I am attending is satellite, so I'm not on the main campus to see anything either. That's why I was inquire about grad.
I've heard the best start is to just get active in community service. Build that up and when I encounter a member of a sorority, inquire about there upcoming activities and begin showing my face. I guess ultimately, time will still tell because my husband is military we will move again soon. Maybe our new environment will have better prospects. I will read other messages to see what other responses have been to questions similar to my own. Thanks for the replies. ------------------ "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." |
