Well, I'm going to get some heat for this one, but the analogy is worth pointing out. I can't help watching the Dog Whisperer show without seeing that a husband can also apply the same techniques to his wife. The major theme that Cesar Millan tries to get across is that as a dog owner you need to show that you are the leader of the pack and that you want your dog to be in a "calm and submissive" state. Hmmmmm, sounds familiar, huh? Discussions from my post, Submitting Love, got me to thinking if only there was a 'wife whisperer' who could come in and teach husbands how to get a handle on their wives. Below, I will offer some suggestions that are adapted from Cesar Millan's techniques.

....Women have different levels of excitability that they progress through. A problem woman that goes into a frenzy in certain situations cannot be corrected when she has reached her highest level of intensity. You must correct at the lower levels to prevent her from becoming out of control....

...Is your wife doing a behavior that you don't approve of? Does she pull you around? Do you feel that you can't control her? Is it hard to take items (pretty things) away from her without being bitten (not literally of course)?..

...Often you just can't win with either and unstable dog or woman...

...Decides what the pack is allowed to play with (decides who are appropriate friends that will exert good influences).....

Are you kidding me? This has gotta be a joke.

Just makes me think of the South Park episode where it worked on Cartman.

It was for real. They have since taken it down. The blog author has some very antiquated beliefs regarding women.

Not that she's changed her mind, she just didn't like the bad publicity from comparing women to dogs.

I feel the same way about this that I feel when GCers start their posts with phrases like "I'm gonna get flamed for this...." Just type/say what you're going to type/say. LOL.

A lot of men have masculinity problems and feel that they have to be in charge (some call this "head of household") so they either find a submissive woman (submission is different than reciprocity) or attempt to "gender shame" a nonsubmissive woman into submission.

Michael Baisden's show was about old cheaters today. He said there's the "the shut up gift" after a man cheats. After a man apologizes so much, he may propose to the woman which essentially says "will you marry me? here's the ring...now forgive me and shut up about it." The tone that I gathered from his statement is that women are dumb and easily "shut up."

this is so true but when i was growing up in church i never heard people proclaiming this the same way they kept on stressing that women must be submissive to their husbands. it made me not wanna get married for a while. :p

Not that this isn't an issue that some men have, but I believe the author of the blog is female.

Women shouldn't vote:

Satan promises her that if she votes, she will be "like man", and not only will she know good and evil, she will now be able to decide what is good and evil and further eradicate perceived evils through her vote.

The only reasons why women should have education:

...so that it will make her the best wife and mother possible; NOT so that she will seek independence, climb the corporate ladder, push men out of their jobs, seek competition, and walk around with elitist airs due to her advanced degree and salary...

The reasons for the wage gap:

...if women would just do jobs suitable to their nature they will find they get paid the same as those men in the same line of work. Perhaps another huge part of why women get lower pay in lofty positions is simply because they should not be in those positions. They are doing work that is not suitable to their womanly nature...

And lastly, which women in sororities (or who have more than two friends) might find interesting, why women shouldn't hang out in groups:

...It has become increasingly clear that anytime a large group of women rallies together, its feminism. (Note: feminism is bad) It can be the most conservative, traditional, or biblical group of women out there, but women en masse can't seem to escape the trap of their gender. Women in large groups are simply sheep. When bunched together the dormant sheep mentality comes alive and all it takes is for one to jump of the cliff and the others will follow suit...

I can barely listen to Michael Baisden or Tom Joyner, they tend to diss a lot of the women on their shows attempting to discredit them. A lot of times that do have positive-focus on serious issues, but a lot of times their "advice" when it comes to women is horrible and I don't even think they realize how bad they are.

We aren't too shocked, though.

It certainly isn't the first time that we've read such things from a woman. Patriarchy, sexy, and misogyny require the participation of both men and women to continue.

The basis for her opinions seems to be religious fundamentalism. Good for them. :)

While feminism is busy being bad, people who feel that way are busy reaping its benefits.
