Ok, so I'm the typical broke college student, but I have a Little Brother. I know it's tradition for the big bro to buy the little bro his first letters, and a paddle, and such, but I'm wondering....any other ideas out there to show him I'm there for him, but w/o money?

Like, I know b4 initiation I'll be able to afford all those things, but I was hopin there would be somethin I could do for him now, as opposed to like next semester....

Just hang out with him alot and let him borrow some TKE shirts from you. Tell him he will get that stuff but later when he become a brother.

Well, in my chapter, the little bro makes the paddle for the big bro, but anyways...

Could you get him a TKE mug, or bottle opener, or some little trinket of paraphenalia? It'd be a nice "i'm broke but i still care" kind of thing.

Buy two plain white undershirts (like $2 a piece at target) and write TKE on the front and your nicknames on the back. Call him at 2am, throw the shirt on him, and go to Denny's. You could also get a couple of ridiculously ugly old TKE shirts off of ebay.

Thats funny!! I take it the guys at the chapter you hang with do that if they are broke?

Actually, no. I did it for my littles last year because I had two in the same semester and had to budget well.
