Pearl Men and Chapter Sweethearts?
 

Hi Ladies!

Does your chapter do Pearl Men and Chapter Sweethearts?

My boyfriend was just voted in as a Chapter Pearl Man, which he was thrilled about. (I promised him I would buy him the jewlery, but he is not so thrilled about that :) )

He brought our Chapter a cheesecake with a blueberry dolphin on it, when he came to accept the honor.

Our Chapter Sweetheart was also just voted in. He is a TKE and one of my very good friend's boyfriends.

Does your chapter do either Pearl Men or Chapter Sweetheart? What traditions do you do with this?

we don't have this tradition started, but we soon hope to. For some reason my chapter seems to be a bit hesitant when it comes to meeting/getting to know fraternity men.

Also, how do you start planning a formal? How long does it usually take? A semi formal?

We had Pearl Men and a Chapter Sweetheart we called the "Alpha Male". Pearl Men were normal boyfriends or really close friends of the Chapter. Alpha Male was always a fraternity man and a few girls would serenade him at his house.

E-mail/call me about the formal. I can work through the whole thing with you. It takes about 3 months for a formal; 1-2 for a semi. It's also really dependent on budget, theme, and the atmosphere you are going for. Do you have the officer manual? The social Chair section in that outlines the entire process.

Is this the same guy you are marrying? Maybe this is why he decided to tie the knot.:D

Yup. I doubt it though. But, seeing how kind he was to all my girls is a big reason I am marrying him.....
