Letter print fabric
 

OK, searched and all I found was the tacky Gucci letters thread. Has anyone ever seen fabric that has small letters and/or the sorority name spelled out printed all over it? I have a crafty sister and she is looking for this. Thanks!!

P.S. She wants FABRIC. Not a tote bag or something made out of the fabric, JUST THE FABRIC so she can make her own stuff.

ok. so i know you said she doesnt want the tote bag... BUT has she tried contacting greekgear to see maybe where the get the fabric for these bags?
they have to get it from somewhere. you never know, they might tell her where they get it supplied from

If she's really crafty she might want to design her own fabric with letters, etc. I've just started hearing about this after seeing it done on Project Runway. Try spoonflower.com.

It is very hard to find fabric with sorority letters or names as motifs. I have only come across Pi Phi fabric for my daughter once and that was way back in Winter of 2007. Luckily I bought it all at the time. Some of the fabric went for stitched letter sweatshirts and some went for a bag, but there is still some to use for her t-shirt quilt when she is ready to relinquish her college shirts.

You can print your own fabric with an inkjet printer and treated fabric. The notions dept. of fabric stores carry 8.5 x 11 sheets of treated fabric that are designed to run through a computer printer. You can print photographs on the fabric as well as other images. The problem is that a standard sheet of paper is fairly small as compared to yardage normally needed for craft projects.

Alternatively you could look for small-scale versions of your org's motifs. 1930's reproduction fabrics are the perfect scale for block letters and have many different motifs. I was able to find arrow fabric that worked quite well.

I don't think she wants to get so hardcore as to contact a website like that. She is a SAHM and doing these crafts as a sideline.

OK, this is the dumbest post you've made yet and that's saying a lot. First off, walmart is the WORST place to get fabric and only stupid Nazi hippos would shop there. Secondly, she wants PATTERNED FABRIC. Do you know what a pattern is? A pattern is a design printed OVER AND OVER AND OVER. It would take forever to "stick letters on." Lastly, what do you mean by "stick letters on"? Fabric letters? Plastic letters? Letters from a labelmaker? What? In the immortal words of Jack McCoy HOW FAR UP YOUR ASS IS YOUR HEAD???

That might be exactly what she's looking for if it's not too pricey. Thanks!!

Spoonflower is a company that creates custom-prints fabric in real yardage! I really like this and may have to design some myself...

I don't know if she has tried Ebay, but every once in a while I see some from various orgs pop up.

I've seen some for ADPi (I think?) before at Hancock's.
