My chapter President/Big Brother is!

That's awesome! We had 2 guys from my chapter picked to go, which is crazy because our membership is 18 at the moment.

Dude nice! I think we may have only had one person apply... It's expensive and by the time Ruck comes around, we are all incredibly broke. My Big Bro is only able to go because he's getting to use chapter scholarship funds.

Do you have an alumni chapter? If so, ask them for scholarships to Ruck. They may ask you to do something, like write an article for the alumni newsletter. You could write about your own experience, or you could interview a few brothers or alums who went in the past.

Yeah we do, but even they've been pressed for cash because we just bought a chapter house about a month ago!

The alumni are usually willing, though, to help out with travel costs if they can't do anything else. One covered my part of the bill when I went to CLA.

lol haven't checked in for a while...but I was able to go because our alumni board put $200 towards me attending, which left me with the remaining $225, plus airline fees and travel cash.

Ruck Scholarships sound like a nice incentive to get guys to apply though, we could only get 3 guys at my chapter to even apply for it
