TubeSock

Has anyone ever used it or know someone who used it? Does it work?

Kevin 05-10-2010 10:10 AM

Uh.. do I even want to know what this is?

33girl 05-10-2010 02:48 PM

I thought maybe this was a new form of sock puppet :D .

BluPhire 05-10-2010 03:33 PM

You gotta tell us what that is.

txpacer 05-10-2010 03:40 PM

Maybe she is talking about this program: http://stinkbot.com/Tubesock/ ?

MysticCat 05-10-2010 03:42 PM

Haven't forgotten, just would rather hear it from the person's on fingers.

Especially if it is something that is non-boring.

annabella 05-10-2010 06:55 PM

....I would only Google that if she had given us a context, so I could Google within it.

google turns up lots of random crap, and sometimes the thread you are curious about, so it's quite frustrating.

The program she was talking about was the first hit.

AXiDMeesh 05-10-2010 08:16 PM

Are you talking about the YouTube thing?

Kevin 05-10-2010 08:28 PM

So was this product named what it was because of its urbandictionary definition? It seems appropriate.

christiangirl 05-10-2010 10:29 PM

I didn't explain what it is because I'm looking for someone who has used it and someone who has used it would not need to ask me what it is. ;)

Yes, it's a program that you download (for a $15 fee) and you can use it to download YT vids to your iPod. If your player doesn't have a video function (e.g., a regular mp3 player) you can convert the vids to mp3 format and use them as songs. I've only heard of it once from a random on the Net who said he had it (and that it was great) so I wanted to see if anyone here could attest to its merit.

AXiDMeesh 05-10-2010 10:43 PM

That's what I thought you were talking about. I've never used it but I do have a video converter that I use to put into iPod format. It doesn't do the Mp3 conversion thing though. At least I don't think it does. What you can do is just download a free video converter, download the YT vids you want and put them through the program. Should be the same thing.

txpacer 05-10-2010 10:51 PM

Their trial allows you to test it out by downloading the first thirty seconds of videos, have you tried that?
