When I get married here are some of the songs I want played:
Ribbon in the Sky-Stevie
As-Stevie
All I Need-Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrel
Love Me in a Special Way-El Debarge
My First Love-Avant and KeKe

Our "first dance" song was "At Last" by Etta James. We had an entire playlist of songs that played throughout the reception, however.

Hmmm....it changes...
 

This week:
--The Very Thought of You...can't decide which artist I like best...Diane Schuurr or Nat King Cole

The songs for my wedding will be:

God In My Corner and You By My Side (I don't really know what the title of the song is but this is a verse of it and it is performed by a male)
Wedding Song by John P. Kee off the new CD Not Guilty
You by Jesse Powell

and of course Here and Now by Luther Vandross

There are others and I'm sure my boyfriend would add to this list.

I just wanted to correct myself. Teddy Pendergrass sings this song, not him with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. I saw The Wood on Saturday and I looked closely at the closing credits and found out this information.

When I get married (no ifs, ands, or buts about it!) My weddings songs will be:

2. Together Forever - Shai
3. Stright From My Heart - UNV
4. Nothing Has Ever Felt Like This - Rachelle Farrell & Will Downing
5. Love - Music

I'm so in love with you- Al Green. I know its ole school but it's our song and it's really romantic.

Ladies it has been A LONG TIME since I've been here and what a way to come back!

WHEN we get married our song is: If This World Were Mine - Luther Vandross.....we have that on our voice mail at home...it is SOOOO beautiful. :D I just get teary eyed thinking about it.

Also, I plan to sing to him: #12 on The Soul Food Soundtrack: You are the Only Man for Me - En Vogue. But no Wedding is complete with out : Always & Forever (the original version)


Im_just-me: When I'm With You - Tony Teri and We Must Be In Love - Pure Soul (They are four women) that's a good album. The also did Stairway to Heaven.....beautiful. The last song on their album I think is called The Woman That I Am...It's not really a wedding song, but it is a pick me up song for that Independent Woman who has her moments.
