NEED HELP! Pledge Smart!

Yes. Its easy - report the organization for hazing and you got it.
|
I'd rather not tho, i care very much about the organization and we will be crossing in the next week or so. my pledge brothers and i assume its part of hell week but if we can think of a solution it will eliminate this part of the process.

Hmm.... well... just because its part of hell week doesn't make it a good thing. I'd really suggest asking why its important for you to text your pledge brothers every hour on the hour. To top it off, I'm sure no matter which organization you're joining, this kind of task carries little purpose/value - think about what you're doing and how that reflects the organization.

Why am I sitting here trying to figure this out?
Shame on me. |
Exactly. Have you spoken to your big brother or pledge class about your concerns?
I know it may seem intimidating to approach the chapter with your concerns, but if its something you don't feel good about doing, carries no purpose, costs money and makes you lose sleep, its not a good fit and really should be handled sooner than later. Trust me, I speak from experience on this part: people who experience any level of hazing who disagree with it, but continue to cross have a tendency to forget their dislike for the activity/task and end up enforcing it themselves during the next pledge process. Better to nip it in the butt now. |

k_s.. I also tried to figure it out for about 10 seconds before I came up with the solution:
Don't text them. If they "make" you do it every 30 minutes... don't do it. If they haze you harder or kick you out over something so incredibly stupid, they were never your brothers to begin with. The end. Problem solved. |

Is this for one night/day? Have all pledges sleep in same room. Everyone goes to sleep except for one. Have that one pledge brother hold onto the phones for the first hour. He writes all the texts about 5 min before the the hour is up. One it's about 1 minute before, he hits SEND on each one. He stays awake until about 15 minutes before the next hour, then he gives it to the next pledge and #1 can go to sleep. #2 takes the next hour, then wakes up #3 when it's almost time for his shift. #2 then goes to sleep. And so on. It's called teamwork. PS I Am not condoning hazing. |
If you had an iPhone, there would be an app for that.

USE THE "SEND LATER" FEATURE ON YOUR CELL PHONE. Type up a bunch of text messages and time them to be sent at whatever frequency you are supposed to send them. You and your pledge brothers have made this so much harder than it needs to be. If you would have done what I suggested in the first place, it would have taken you about 4-5 minutes to get the job done. You basically hazed yourselves. |
