Disbanned Chapter
 

Any ideas to get a chapter back after being shutdown on campus for several violations. They won't even let us be a colony because of budget cuts. We still have a private house off campus but they advise students to not rush unrecognised groups.

Have you talked to nationals about expansion? They generally will not recolonize if you are attempting to operate an unrecognized chapter.

The word you want is DISBANDED.

If you aren't offering the students enough that they want to join you underground, that's your fault. Many other campi have underground chapters that thrive, despite what the administration says.

Yeah got it. But, it's toward the top of the organization specific threads. As such, I would assume others, like me, will happen across it. And if in this kid's situation they need to do things the right way. Thanks though. I didn't realize the OP hadn't been around since April.

How's that working out for you? Not actually being in the fraternity or recognized by anyone as such. SMU is the only place I know that lasted anything close to that and they went away so they could recolonize, which didn't work out. Getting an idiotic hazing violation when you're still an interest group is about the worst thing you can do. I don't know if we're ever going back there now, which is really unfortunate.
