15 years ago today...
We must not forget what happened and by whom.
|
I think part of the problem with Homeland Security is that we are not learning from our "mistakes" so it's almost as if we are "forgetting" what happened. I am reminded of the man who was going to bomb the plane on its way to Michigan back in December. I don't mind having my bags searched, walking through metal detectors, being asked intrusive questions, etc. because at the end of the day, I feel more safe and secure.
I've always wondered how other people feel about an increase in security and decrease in privacy. |
i lived in tulsa at the time, and everything shook like an earthquake-that bomb was that powerful. God rest the victims souls and comfort their loved ones.

I was a few blocks away. Heard it.
My father was in downtown OKC at the County Courthouse. The windows imploded into the room. Would have been some pretty bad injuries if not for the thick curtains which caught most of the glass. I drive by the Memorial several times a day now. Visited the museum once. Pretty powerful stuff. Just got finished viewing CNN's story about the 4 children who survived. I interviewed the father of that family (last name Denny) back when he made an unsuccessful bid for the Oklahoma governorship several years ago and I was anchoring the school's TV news program. Met both kids (he brought them to the interview). |
Its just the week of sad. Columbine was 11 years ago tomorrow. :(
