-- Kate Gosselin has had some tough blows this year and Hugh Hefner has dealt her another one.

When asked if there was any possibility that Momzilla would grace the glossy covers of Playboy, Hef said, "No! No!" And the original playboy added insult to injury by suggesting he doesn't even know why she's on "Dancing with the Stars."

He explained, "I don't think she's a celebrity." That's the second Gosselin rejected from the porno business. It has gotta hurt to hear that no one wants to check out your goody basket.

Wait a minute... Did Kate (or someone on Kate's behalf) seek out a Playboy contract? Or was this just Hef's response to a hypothetical? Because my already low opinion of Kate could go lower if she sought this out.

Marc Malkin at EI Online threw out the idea to Hef. Meanwhile, Hef says this about Kate's competition on DWTS, Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett: "Now there's somebody who really became a celebrity."

There's a basket...but I don't know about goodies...LOL!

Technically speaking, Playboy didn't "reject" her, since she didn't seek them out. A paparazzo asked a hypothetical question.

PS. I loathe what I see and hear about Kate Gosselin. Is loathe a strong enough word?

I think the whole thing is stupid...it's not like she was seeking it out...so how can it be "rejection." I'm not the biggest Gosselin fan, but this just seems like the most idiotic piece of "news" ever.

I am horrified that this has been one of the top looked at stories on CNN for two days now...

Hahaha, Hef is funny... Besides there are just so many reasons why this is just wrong!

A.) One of her exploited children could see it.
B.) Nobody needs to see her c-section/tummy tuck scars
and finally
C.) It would only extend her 15 minutes, which she's about 12.5 minutes through.

She passed her 15 minutes a few hours ago.
