Ole Miss frats.

Hey guys, I am a new poster here. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Ole Miss recruitment process. I am currently a senior in high school in my last month. I plan on rushing and pledging at Ole Miss. Does anyone have any insight? Forms to fill out, things I should do, etc.
Also what are the chances of not getting a bid. Thanks in advanced.

I love how the OP is asking about fraternities,
and you give him a link to sorority recruitment at Ole Miss.
Thanks for reading the thread title.

I think you need to back off. While the word "frats" isnt the best choice of words when referring to a fraternity, it is a word that is often coined with male fraternities. Your link to sorority recruitment is irrelevant to a young man wishing to pledge a fraternity.

I appologize for trying to help and obviously not seeing the word "frat".

Contact the Greek Life Office for Ole Miss. They can give you better information for Ole Miss's fraternity process than we can.

I guess I am meaning more insight from someone who has been through the process at Ole Miss, you know what to expect all that.

We've had a couple of Ole Miss guys in the past, but none who are actively posting now. Sorry.

Same for sorority recruitment at Ole Miss just go through and have fun. The fraternities are bit more laid back when it comes to recs. If you are from out-of-state just try to meet as many guys in fraternities as you can before recruitment starts. Recruitment will start the same time for guys as girls, so around October 20, 2010. Also, most of the freshmen guys going through recruitment live in Stockard. Then the rest are spread out in Kincannon, Brown, and Deaton.

There are 14 fraternities:
ATO, Beta, Sig Ep, SAE, Delta Psi, Phi Psi, Pike, Phi Delt, KA, Kappa Sig, Sigma Nu, Sigma Chi, Phi Tau, and Sigma Pi has a colony. Deke has been kicked off campus again, their house is boarded up (not sure when they return). Chi Psi was rumored to be coming back but it looks like their house has been condemned so who knows.

Thanks so much, I didn't know that about stockard but I was already planning on living there. I pick out my dorm on the seventh! I live in state and plan to go to woodstock on the 23d, I think. I only know people from sigma nu and pike, and sigma nu is the only who has showed any interest in me. They have sent me a couple of letters and what not.
