NCSU Sophomore Transfer
 

Hi, I am going to be a new sophomore at NCSU this fall. I am at another college now and realize I came here for the wrong reasons. I didn't rush at all this year but am really looking forward to my transfer AND to rushing formally in the fall at NCSU.. So does anyone know how competitive the process is here and how hard it will be on a sophomore transfer.

I'm a few years removed from NCSU, but I don't think you'll have a problem at all. It's competitive, but not cut throat. Sophomores usually stand a fair chance if you keep your mind open. Greek life continues to grow and thrive at NCSU (Kappa Delta is colonizing now - or soon). Tri-Delta colonized a few years ago. Delta Gamma colonized in 2002...so the demand continues.

Recs are helpful, but not needed (if a chapter really wants you, they'll find a rec for you -- if they need one). Good luck!
