I'm Going to Ask My Stepdad to Adopt Me
 

So right now I'm on spring break and I'm back home in Richmond. Me and my mother were talking and she starts talking about my childhood. (She usually does this whenever me and her are the only two up and I say a trigger word like.. grandchildren. She says she's she's only 42 and thats too young to be a grandmother and I agree:D)

And she starts talking about my father and his stupidity w/ drugs.
Then my stepfather comes up.

He's been in my life since I was 5 and my lil bro was about 1. He's still here and I knew him to be my father figure but at 19 my real dad came into the picture. Again I'm 22 and me and my the biological are strained. He's back into his stupidity and I feel like I should disown my biological and claim my step. (In Virginia, Adult Adoption is possible)

My mother is all for it but she hates my dad anyway. I'm just nervous as to what my step dad would say and how my biological would react. nd I feel like at 22 whats the point kinda but...hmmm I don't know.

Sorry so long. Just venting my thoughts and confusion....

Naw I didn't wake him up but I did ask him when he got off of work today. He almost cried. So thats a yes. :)
