What does "date-a-guy" mean?

Some people describe a fraternity on campus as "date-a-guy". When I asked them, i couldn't really understand what they were trying to say.

what does "date-a-guy" mean?

It means "it rhymes with Theta Chi and we couldn't think of any other stupid nickname to give them."

Just jealousy, usually, or if someone from that campus took a road trip and then thought "hey, I learned something to call someone." Same thing with "Easy DZ" etc.

ETA: It could also apply to Zeta Psi.
