Whoa, This Is Scary...
 

NEW ORLEANS - AP - A man carried a loaded gun through security checkoints at the New Orleans airport Tuesday and boarded a Wouthwest Airines flight before turning the weapon over to a flight attendant.

FBI spokesman Ed Hall said the man did not realize he had the derringer inside his briefcase until the Boeing 737 had left for Phoenix. The FBI questioned the man in Phoenix, but he was not charged because he had no intent to commit a crime, Hall said.

The agency, along with the Federal Aviation Administration and International Total Services,t he company that provides security at the New Orleans airport, are investigating why security agents didn't spot the small gun when it went through the X-ray machine. ITS spokesman Pat Gallagher said an employee has been suspended. :eek:

Gotta love the fact that the airports are taking such extreme measures to make things safer - I mean, it was just a loaded gun - who could possibly notice that? And they wonder why people don't want to fly anymore.

I can relate carrying a weapon through micro scope!

Had My weapon in a suitcase, running late, about got shot till I ID myself almost missed the damn plane, got on board told the flight attendentand a GGUUYY? and had to unload it!!!! They did catch it . Thank god for ID!!! :o

These MORONS that want to do it know and just show it can be done, should be held for a while in a rubber room and explained to what and is the situation really is!!!!

:eek: That is really scary! You would think that after everything that happened the security would be a lot tighter!

I just heard this tonight and couldnt believe it. Its probably a hoax but......they found a letter with a white powder inside it at our local post office and the area FBI is testing the powder. We're supposed to hear about the results tommorow.

Thats why the gov't needs to take over airport security. We will all be safer.
