How to/ Should we Nationalize?

Hello Everyone!
I am a member or the Local Theta Zeta Upsilon Sorority at Concordia College NY, We are a newer Sorority, only being founded 4 years ago!
We are currently looking into becoming a National Sorority, or Just expanding in general. Concordia is an extremely small school of only 700 students, and we are so for a sorority of about 50 females. 4 years we're not doing too bad. There are three other GLOs on campus, Alpha Sigma Chi, Delta Omega Pi (both local) and Beta Sigma Psi (national.) How could we get more information on this all? We have pretty much founded this on our own, with no help, We would love to spread our values and strong sister bonds with more women around the country!

You have to have interest at another college or university first. Do you have interest from any groups of women, and if so, is their campus open to new sororities (and particularly, those that are non-national)?

Yes!, We are currently working with a fantastic group of females in Portland at Concordia University Oregon! We have had a few sisters transfer there and they are in the making of starting up there! Their Campus is really excited about it!

This will certainly help in your quest to become national.

Have you obtained insurance for your current chapter, and/or inquired as to how to obtain insurance for additional chapters? This is an important part of expansion.

Have you thought about the process for initiating new chapters? You will also need to decide how the organization will be governed going forward. For example, will there be a "national board" or advisory group that makes decisions, or will this continue to be done through the Alpha Chapter?

There's a lot more to it, but those would be some of the first things that I would recommend thinking about.
