Formal vs Informal

I was just wondering how other recruitment process worked at other schools. At mine...well there isn't a process. We used to have a set day where Bids could start being extended, but we recently got rid of it. Now an organization can have a Rush events if they want, But as long as a PNM has enough credits and the GPA they can issue a bid as soon as the semester starts. The only comparison we have to a formal process is sorority recruitment which has a lot of rule. While we think their recruitment is dumb, girls steadily get around 13 girls per class while guys average about 8.

I've been thinking on ways to boost Male recruitment numbers, and it seems to be pointing to our style of recruitment. Tell me what do you think, and what ur school did/ does.
