Penn State Behrend... on fire!

Tonight, the cafeteria on the campus of Penn State Behrend went up in flames.

Even though they didn't exactly have the best food (except breakfast!!) I'm so sad to see it go :(

From what I've heard, the dorm next to the cafe was quickly evacuated before the fire grew out of control.

This is basically happening right now, so details about how it started have obviously not yet been released.

Yikes.

I remember when the physical plant went up in flames on my campus years ago. I had never been in that building, but that side of campus looked off without it.

It's definitely going to look strange. And behind that building is a huge drop off. The buildings in that area generally work as a baracade to keep people away from it. I wonder how they're going to deal with keeping everyone safe there in that respect.

What's worse is that they just started renovations on the building. Good thing they didn't get too far into it before this happened, though.

Fortunately, it appears that no one was hurt.

Unfortunately, they're saying the building is a total loss.
