Shamrock!
 

This is my chapter's Shamrock weekend. We do an all you can eat spaghetti feed for Prevent Child Abuse America and the local Looking Glass Station (number 7). The Looking Glass helps children and teens who are in bad situations and give them resources to help them. The next day (today actually) we do a basketball tournament where Greek and non-Greek teams play for the championship. Also at the spaghetti feed, the girl scouts sell their cookies, which is a big hit!

Up the freeway a bit, Alpha Kappa at Oregon State has a Mock Rock. It is a lip sync and dance competition that is this Thursday. We have half our chapter going to support.


What did your chapter do for Shamrock?

My daughter just went to that last night! She said it turned out really well. Her roommate is in your chapter!

Eta Alpha at Texas A&M are holding their Shamrock this week. They are having a Spaghetti Supper at the house this Thursday and are expecting close to 1000. Saturday is their Football Kickoff. I'm very proud of them because they got everything donated for the supper and I know as of last week already had $14,000 in mail in donations.

We do a pancake dinner. Lots of fun...and delicious!

Actually, I just returned from College Station and they made $28,000 gross. Not for sure how much will go to expenses. I hope they clear $24,000 but we'll see. They did a great job.

Sorry to drop in... but our KD's are doing Shamrock Showcase this week ... actually tomorrow its a dance and lip sync contest. My girls have been working hard since it is their first time doing it. I love shamrock showcase it is a great event :-)

UT KDs held their Shamrock event today. It was a golf tournament - a new event for them - and they did a great job! They had over 70 golfers! Great job girls!

We do a shamrock 'n' bowl and we always have a huge turnout and it's loads of fun. I remember doing a chapter visit to promote it and as another sister and I walked out their chapter president stood up and said "we're registering 3 teams because this is the best philanthropy on campus." It made us feel great!

I know that a few chapters that do 5K runs.
