Question for Alabama greeks
I'm possibly coming to UA in the summer as a junior(you know where this is going) because my family is moving and it's going to be easier for me to go to school closer to them. I know that greek life has a heavy influence there, and am almost positive that most fraternities wouldn't even take a guy my age. If any of you could give any recommendations on chapters, if any, that I should look into give my situation that'd be really appreciated. If not..roll tide.

Don't shortchange yourself. Plenty of fraternities pledge upperclassmen. My nephew, who was at Alabama all 4 years, pledged as a junior.:)

Fraternities do not have quotas or totals unless it is chapter imposed. So if a chapter likes you - as was the case with AnchorAlumna's nephew - they may extend you a bid.
I would recommend that you contact the Alabama Greek Life office asap regarding possible spring events, open houses, on campus visits etc. as well as Summer Rush parties. Best of luck. |
