not getting a bid :-(

i was super exicted to rush i go to a small school with only 4 sororities and i only got invited back to one party it was the sorority i wanted but unfortunately i didn't get a bid. my friend(that i convinced to rush by the way) got a bid to another sorority but she really didn't even want it i know the sorority i was going out for is very competitive ... i feel like im an outgoing fun goodlooking person (i don't mean to sound cocky) im really heartbroken im new to this school this semester and i was looking for a way to meet some people. im not really shure how to deal with this i was really looking forward to it , has this happened to anyone else

What year in school are you?

Please, please go back and edit your post for spelling and grammar so it's easier for others to read and give you accurate advice.

The search function is your friend. There are a million posts here about unsuccessful recruitments. You are not alone.

I'm sorry to hear that. You are certainly not the only person to not receive a bid. These posts may be helpful to you:

I am sorry things didn't work out for you in rush and I don't know if this is what you want to hear but at this point the best thing you can do is to suck it up and move on, now matter how difficult or painful that is . If your school is like most others the non greeks outnumber the greeks by a substantial margin. Make non greek friends, get involved in non greek activities and leave the greek thing behind.

get involved in some activities/clubs on campus and since you will only be a sophomore, decide if you might want to rush again. if you think you might, start trying to secure recommendations for all 4 of the sororities.
