Alexander McQueen dead at 40
 

The fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead, his company said.
His office confirmed to the BBC that Mr McQueen, 40, was discovered at his London home this morning.
Paramedics called to the Mayfair property pronounced him dead at the scene. Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious.

I read that he hanged himself. They were saying he was depressed over his mom's death a few days ago and Isabella Blow's death in 2007. I had no idea she had committed suicide. This whole deal was as depressing as everything I've ever read.

I was shocked when I read this.

I actually cried when I read about his death. He was so incredibly talented and a true artist.

True. It's sad when people feel they have no hope. :(

It's terrible.

I feel so badly for his family right now. He had five siblings, and they and his father are no doubt reeling from his mother's death and then having to deal with this. So so sad. I hope the press stays away from them; but what can I expect with British tabloids?

He was so talented. RIP.

Life is full of pain and the unknown. Some lives are more painful than others. However, I believe in "this too shall pass."

The woman who discovered him who killed herself in 2007 did so because she had been diagnosed with cancer. That speaks volumes.
