Pledge Names
For a variety of reasons, my fraternity gave a bid to this guy a lot of us aren't wild about. Thus I (and others) want to give him a less than flattering pledge name. Often they don't stick, but at least it'll give him an idea to the fact that he's not the most popular pledge.
I really don't like this kid. Ideas for his pledge name? |

WTF? So your chapter doesn't like this kid, yet you gave him a bid? But to get across the point that you didn't like him you want to give him a bad pledge name? Why bid him in the first place?

I'm pretty sure that having to be in the same fraternity as you are in is punishment enough, broseph.

My guess is that Dad of Pledge is an alum and promised beaucoup bucks if the son was bid. Or the fraternity is assuming that would happen. Not fair to dad, son, or fraternity.
Instead of being passive aggressive with stupid things like nicknames, try being MEN, speak to this pledge and ask him if he's really happy so far, or tell him it's not a good fit and ask him to resign. Trust me, if my scenario is right, you don't want to be around when dad figures it out. |
i would. lol

Some chapters just give bids to boost numbers and to collect funds. If a chapter is in debt, they might take on a few extra guys they don't like as long as they can provide the funds.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure you're asking for advice that borderlines hazing. |

How about you stop being mean and try to develop a friendship with this guy? Your chapter did not accept him so that you guys could make him miserable and feel unwanted.
