Greater Birmingham (AL) AA hosting Recruitment Panel
On February 18th, the Greater Birmingham ADPi Alumnae Association is hosting a Recruitment Panel, particularly geared towards Rec writers and legacy mothers of upcoming PNMs. The panel will be comprised of advisors from Eta (University of Alabama), Kappa (Samford), Beta Omega (Auburn), and Zeta Delta (Montevallo).
The goal is to educate our alumnae on Recruitment issues, such as: - How NPC policies have changed over the years, for example RFM. - How International policies have changed, for example phone calls are no longer made when legacies are released. - How Recruitment can be dramatically different at the different campuses. - How to write a good Rec. - What GPA minimums are Chapters looking for? And whatever topics attendees ask the panel. I think this is a fabulous idea and am so excited to be a part of it. The more we educate our alumnae, the better IMO. If anyone in the area is interested in attending, please pm me so I can give you the details and the appropriate person's contact info to RSVP. |
Excellent idea! Would that EVERY Province would hold a seminar such as this! Would that every GLO would hold something like this!
Violets to whomever came up with the idea! |
This sounds wonderful! How about an open session for any NPC member?!?
|
^^That would be a fantastic idea! Just think of the angst a conference like that would save!

I'd love to see a Panhellenic Alumnae Association put something like that on.

Wow, word has spread and interest is huge. So much so that invitations have been sent on to the Montgomery, Huntsville, and Florence Alumnae Associations as well. From what I have heard over 50 alumnae have RSVP'ed and probably more than that will come.
|
Hope it all went well! :)

Do you have a summary of the event that you can share? I'm looking for some material on recruitment (and especially on recs) for our alumnae panhellenic meeting in May.
