Sarah Palin signs with Fox
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has signed on as a regular contributor with Fox News, the New York Times' Media Decoder blog is reporting:
The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed. Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called “War Stories.” The deal could be announced this afternoon. link |
I am so glad she has a new career that my education and degree(s) from the University of Idaho will prepare and qualify me for! I need to add Fox commentator to small town Alaska mayor, Alaska governor, and Republican Vice Presidential nominee, and beauty queen contestant.
ETA: I forgot published author! That's another career move I should look into. |
Ugh.. Fox FAILS so much for saying they are balanced. I dont care if there is a conservative commentary news network (neo-conservative at that), but admit to it. Here is a timeline of the FAIL boats Fox has sunk:
-Hannity gets his own show. -Colmes, the last liberal, leaves giving hannity two shows. -Huckabee gets a show -Glenn Beck gets a show -Palin is hired as a commentator |
I like Fox News.
Sarah Palin as a commentator will require a lot of teleprompting. This could either be very hilarious or very horrible. Maybe hilariously horrible. I look forward to it. |
So bad it's good? That would be nice. But probably just so bad it's painful and makes me want to cry for my hypothetical-future-children and the world they will inherit.

LMAO, this broad is the former GOP VP candidate and all she can get is a contributor?
|
I think she's a bit mesmerizing and fun to watch. I don't like her politics though. But, the fact that she has joined a legitimate (conservative...fair and balanced my ass) news organization is surreal to me.

Since I never watch that channel, I imagine this won't affect me.
TV news, not just FOX, but in general, is pretty awful. As for Palin, if you're a Dem, you're loving this. She's either going to run (and maybe win) the primary, in which case, your guy wins. Or she'll run as a third party candidate, split the right side of the ticket, and your guy wins.... that's if she runs rather than continuing to unabashedly cash in on her celebrity. Maybe she'll write a few more books she won't write before this is all through with. I'll be sure to pay close attention. |

Well if she fails, she can't blame it on the media...
