8 people shot 3 fatally at St Louis factory
 

Eight people have been shot, three of them fatally, at the transformer manufacturing company ABB Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri, a fire department spokesman told CNN.

Of the five surviving, three were critically injured, Capt. Bob Keuss said, one was seriously hurt and one suffered a minor injury. All were transported to an area hospital, he said.

The fate of the shooter was not known.

Police said the shooter was armed with an assault rifle. Authorities said earlier on a police hotline they believed the suspect was still on the premises.

"It's pretty sketchy at this point," ABB spokesman Bob Fesmire told CNN. He said police had evacuated the building. Authorities said on the hotline a room-to-room search was being conducted.

My soror's uncle was one of the shooting victims.. *sigh* I hope everyone pulls through.

Oh my goodness, I'm sorry to hear that! :(

How sad. I can just imagine what they are going through hearing about something happening at a loved one's place of business and wondering if they are okay. My uncle works at Exxon in Baton Rouge and was at work one Christmas when it blew up. We were so freaked out until we found out he was okay. Do you know if he was fatally wounded? Hope they find the shooter.
