Hey guys, sorry to intrude on your forum, but I had this in my files from forever so I thought I would share . . . you probably have these in your song book already. I gave some copies to our AGD chapter here but I don't think they were interested . . .

Thats the best use of brown eyed girl by any sorority that I have heard before. I do believe every sorority uses that dang song.

I thought it would be a exclusive to AGD since it was their mascott.


I didn't think the song to mambo # 5 was that old???

These songs are GREAT! Mambo #5 was so cool my Senior Year, since we had a sister with every name in the song...we went nuts when we heard the song at parties or on the radio!

So I've been meaning to post this song on here for all of you, and rather than creating a new thread, I was a good girl and dug up an old one to reply to. :)

This song was written by Zeta Theta's Fall 1997 new member class, and it is sung to the tune of Madonna's "Material Girl." There used to be additional verses, but we shortened it to use it for our skit at recruitment, and these are the only lyrics I can remember.

Yay, posts from Jen make my rainy day! Did I get all the words right? It took me forever to think of the "Some are athletes..." verse. I couldn't remember what happened after Alice kicked the soccer ball at the rushees in skit. :p

Considering the new members this past fall didn't know Hadie Kadie in December, I think it's safe to say they don't know Alpha Gam Girl. We'll have to have a fun song practice soon...tell Sandy she has to come and help us!

Pretty awesome Brown Eyed Girl song...it's a "thing" for our chapter to sing Brown Eyed Squirrel just about everywhere and do our dance and all...but we don't change the words, except for "squirrel".

You know all the songs are on the members only side of the website as MP3s?

Does anyone else have trouble listening to the songs on the Member's Site? I must have tried clicking on at least 10 songs and none of them worked.
