Informal Recruitment
 

Hi everyone :)

I went through formal recruitment at my school last fall and it didn't work out, I ended up dropping on preference day after I didn't get any of my 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd choice houses. Now it's been a quarter and I've been living in the dorms but I still would LOVE to be in a house and it makes me a little sad to see girls around campus in houses that I went through rush with.

Well I just got an email from one house that I really liked during recruitment and they are doing an informal event in a couple weeks! There are about 30 girls invited to it, I'm not sure what it is or what to expect; or how to make a lasting impression when there are 30 other girls. I'm so nervous that I'll screw it up because I feel like I messed up during rush a little; like I wasn't as outgoing and I didn't smile as much as I could have. Does anyone have any info about what to expect during informal events? Or like any tips for how to stand out?
