Ivana Trump kicked off plane
Ivana Trump, the first ex-wife of billionaire Donald Trump, was escorted by sheriff's deputies off a flight Saturday afternoon at Palm Beach International Airport after she screamed and cursed at children, authorities said.
Trump, 60, of Palm Beach, was seated in first class and apparently became irate because children were running up and down the aisle and screaming, Palm Beach County sheriff's officials said. Trump, who last week filed for divorce from her third husband, has not been charged in the incident. The FBI declined to investigate, sheriff's officials said. Flight attendants on the LaGuardia-bound Delta flight told deputies that they tried to calm Trump by offering her another seat and headphones. Trump instead became more belligerent. The plane was just leaving gate C1 when the incident occurred, and the pilot decided to pull back to the gate and call for help, officials said. According to the Sheriff's Office, Trump used the "f" word toward the crew and passengers, including children. Officials said she began screaming in vulgar terms for children to shut up. Deputies asked Trump to voluntarily exit the plane, but they said she refused numerous times. Deputies then "physically escorted her off the aircraft," officials said. link If the plane had just pulled AWAY from the gate and hadn't taken off yet...why were the kids still up and about in the first place? Can't say that I blame her for being pissed |
At first I was going to laugh at this article because Ms. Trump is who she is, but after reading the whole thing, I must agree she had a right to be PO'd and yes what were the kids doing running up and down the plane at that time?

is she still a trump?

she still carrying the name and plus 3 others....

If kids are in first class, they should be either very very good in general or very very sleepy when they get on the plane so they sleep through the flight. People pay extra for those seats and misbehaving children are not acceptable. Go Ivana!!!

It doesn't have anything to do with where you sit IMO. Those kids should have been strapped in once the plane pulled from the gate.

While misbehaving children are not acceptable, neither is Ivana's behavior. She should have allowed the crew to handle it.

Either way without debating the finer points...I agree with SWTXBelle and I want to know if anything was said to the parents. |

I can definitely relate, while not in first class, I was on an overnight flight to Brazil in which the two kids behind me were repeatedly yelling and kicking the seat, with the mom looking on and not really saying anything. The kids were half a nerve away from catching the backhand before they finally stopped. |
The other family should have been kicked off too. The plane was taxing and getting ready to take off, yet the kids were running around? That's a serious safety issue.

leave it up to the crew? It didn't sound like the crew was actually doing anything to remedy the situation. It sounds like they were just focused on Ivana and not really addressing the problem.
No surprise there though. There seems to be a certain level of discomfort that service people have in telling parents to control their unruly children. I have seen this not only on planes but in restaurants and stores. Some parents quickly get irate if someone states that their little angel is being too disruptive. After all the attitude is that they are children and the sentiment is that people should be understanding of a child's need to have fun. However, as some members have already stated, it sounds as though there was a safety risk at play with those kids not being seated. And of course I find it amusing that they are being magnanimous in stating that they have not pressed charges. Of course not. They would be opening a very large and very unpleasant can of worms in doing so. |
Yeah, plane taxing, kids running up and down the plane. Doesn't sound like the crew is doing anything about it.

As for the kids running up and down the plane, I'm surprised the plane was allowed to taxi with passengers still moving around. Maybe the kids did get seated, but Ivana wouldn't calm down? Kind of like a 2 year old having a temper tantrum? Even if you give them everything they want, they still throw the tantrum because one they have started, they cannot stop until its run its course. |
