The Sing-Off
Anyone watching it on NBC?
I'm surprised they kept Maxx Factor on so long. They should have been kicked off before the Mormon Girls (can't remember their group's name). ETA: And I'm only really watching it because I still think Shawn is super delicious :) |
They don't sound as blended as they think they do.

Was very excited to see Tuft's group. I used to go see them when I lived in Boston.

Very glad Nota won...they were definitely in another league than all the other groups.
|
I for sure thought Beelzebub was going to win. I loved both groups but I'm Nota won too! :)

I don't like Nota's vocals. They have a whiny thing going on. Sounds like a bunch of bachata singers or traditional Spanish romance song singers. I know that they probably bring it with them from their musical background, but I hate it. Voices of Lee was corny, but I liked them the best over the remaining options last night.

I liked Nota a lot and they were my favorites all along.
On the other hand, I think it was quite impossible for a college group to win the competition. It's hard for me to describe it, but like.... college groups are supported by their schools and don't really need record deals. They will all graduate and go get real jobs in different places. Just making it on the show in the first place was the best possible thing for the college groups and the schools they represented -- that will leverage the groups for years to come in their own ways. WINNING was the best possible thing for Nota. (Maxx Factor was my second favorite group) |

Maxx Factor was horrendous and thought they should have gone home after they butchered "Love Story" and "Rehab." I was first a Voices of Lee fan, but after Nota sang "Down," they had me. I'm glad they won! |
