JC Sororities?
Are there any out there in the Los Angeles, CA area? If so what are they?
|
Maybe i am dense, but what is a "JC Sorority"?
|
JC stands for junior college.
As far as I know, there aren't any, so you'll have to wait until you transfer. |
I've heard of local soroities at JCs in the Southern California area. None of them are NPC groups. Can't remember which schools or anything like that but I think that some of our junior transfers at UCLA were in locals at their JCs. My impression was that they were more like high school sororities in terms of hazing and membership activities, but that may be wrong.
I think it just depends on the JC - check the student organizations list to see if there are any registered on campus, or check your school newspaper for ads for recruitment, etc. Otherwise you have to wait until you transfer or graduate to join an NPC group. |
From the LBC!
I graduated from Long Beach State University, but I did take two classes at Long Beach City College one summer. From what I recall, LBCC does have fraternities and sororities, but none with Greek letters.
One of them is called "TONG"; find it at: http://members.aol.com/tongbb3/home.htm As a matter of fact, the men's "fraternities" have great names like: Tilsmen, Thor, Thane, Tong and Aztlan. The "sororities": TNT, Entre Nous, Esprit, Kassai, and AKNA. I don't know about what kind of activities or selection processes they have. ......Kelly :) |
