In case you were wondering there are:

2 open house rounds where I do not rank at all.
a skit round where I rank the top 4 and last 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th choices
a philanthropy round where I rank the top 2 and 2nd choice
a pref round where i rank my 1st and 2nd choice (if you get invited to up to two)
and bid day :)

This process spans for more than a week and I'll have to juggle classes and may have to skip practices and meeting for the extracurriculars that I am already in, but it'll be worth it.

I really wanted to keep an open mind, but its really hard becuase rush is all anyone is talking about and you hear things like shocking pink is the prettiest and number one sorority, therefore impossible to get into or macaroni and cheese is the bottom and has to struggle to get girls or that bittersweet shimmer has so many girls from one religion that they don't take anyone else. But its reassuring to have a chance to meet the sisters in each organization and realize that the stereotypes don't match up.

Those are the two things I have to remember, to be myself, and to have a open mind. So I'm off to the mall now. Wish me luck!:D

Sounds like you are really having fun, and that is wonderful! I am looking forward to your next update.

The best thing you can do is continue with the process and see how things work out. The Greek Chat board is filled with stories of women who had only one or two chapters left that they weren't thrilled about and in the end they found a great home. Feelings change, groups have off nights, and you may discover that it was meant to be at one of these two chapters.

If you finish it out you never have to wonder "what it" and you can honestly say you gave it your very best shot.

Just remember - the women at shocking pink and macaroni and cheese are excited to see you for the next round. They want to see you back and you should find that encouraging because I would bet there are some women on your campus who got NO invite at all.
