In a predicament
 

I'm still a pledge in a fraternity at the school I go to now. Due to some circumstances I may transfer back closer to home, the problem is the fraternity here is one of the best and the one back home is not a very good one and has a terrible reputation which I don't really want. Is there anyway to join a different fraternity when I transfer or should I just drop now before I get initiated here. Also I would like to go through rush to see the fraternities since I didn't go to school there the first time. Thanks

Drop out before you get initiated. Be completely sure you're transferring though.

I hope by "terrible reputation" you mean that they haze or indulge in other hazardous activities. Because if what you meant was they're a little geeky, I would have to call you a shallow asshole not deserving of any Greek membership. :)

Once you're initiated, you're stuck.
