No Chapter for Aspiring Member
After an extended period of interest followed by substantial research and thought, I have taken an interest in joining Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
I am a Sophomore at a Private University in a California Urban Center. Campus life and double checking with the Alpha Phi Alpha main website have led me to find that my school and none in the vicinity have an undergraduate chapter. Although, I knew an Alpha as a sophomore in high school and have been provided with examples of exemplary Alpha men, I have no contacts with members of Alpha Phi Alpha. The majority of you seem to be a knowledgeable and easy to communicate with, could one of you direct me and inform me what processes to take to express my interest? With Respect, BJB. |

If I were in your same position, I would either contact the national office to ask them what your options are (a phone call never killed anyone) or use the chapter locator to contact the nearest alumni chapter and ask them. I would probably do both, because while the national office would have the current information as a matter of policy, they wouldn't know if an alumni chapter in that area was trying to charter or recharter a collegiate chapter out your way. Good luck. By the way, not feeling your screen name. |
Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate your aid.
Sorry you don't like my screen name, I think I just realized why, too.....My friends started calling me that in 9th grade. |

Are u sure he is not making the reason up to cover up the fact he is referring to an ape? Or maybe that is why he was drawn to Alpha in the first place.

Who can be sure, really?
All I know is if he comes back, it just ought to be with a new screen name. |
