Exciting news!!!
 

I know I have been MIA since I went to college but my life is a WHIRLWIND right now.

I met this amazing guy two weeks ago. I was hanging out with a friend of mine in his fraternity house and I passed someone on the stairs and somehow we struck up a conversation and we haven't stopped talking since. :D He took me to meet all of his friends this weekend and we established that we are "seeing each other" and I am meeting his mom (!) next weekend... and I have never before met anyone who makes me laugh as much as he does.

Also I have met some truly awesome girls in my dorm, one in particular who has become my bestest ... and many others who are up there on my list.

You know, when I was graduating high school someone who decided they had a right to tell me "I think that when you go off to college you are expecting to have a best friend and a boyfriend by the time you come home for Thanksgiving, but I think you are kidding yourself." I hope he's eating his words right now!!!

I am so happy for you! College life is the best and trust me, if you think you have met your best friend... you will meet five others by your senior year who will become your best friends too! Same with boyfriends! I don't know if you went to school far away, in state or what... but it really does give you a new life- different than the one you had in highschool! Congratulations - that's what college life should be like, a place to meet new people - now, you were lucky in that you found tight friends right away - but it happens to everyone, and it's awsome that you were able to do so so quickly. Continue having a great time, because honestly, that's what college is all about.

I'm so happy for you sweetie!! You totally deserve every bit of happiness! That guy seems like such a keeper, ya better hold on to him tight! :) And I'm so happy that you've found your bestest thru the dorms...these past 2 months, I've also become best friends with a girl that I've known since yrs ago but never got the chance to really chill with. She is just awesome - we finish each other's sentences and she hears me out whenever I need to vent or need some pep talk.

Isn't finding a new best friend one of the most awesome things?! Yeah, i'm gonna say it again - I'm just so happy for you!!! :D:D Glad you're having a great yr at college - and I know that there will be so many more happy moments for you, yet to come!

Just watch out for those fraternity guys...
