Oprah going off the air in 2011
 
(CNN) -- Oprah Winfrey will announce on Friday's "Oprah Winfrey Show" that she is ending the talk show, said a spokesman for Winfrey's Harpo Productions.

The show will air live at 9 a.m. CT.

CNN affiliate WLS in Chicago, Illinois, said the final show would air September 9, 2011.

Awww. :p ANTM and recession aside, Tyra is doing pretty well for herself. She has improved drastically from her first season of The Tyra Show.

If people remember Oprah's first seasons and how she consciously changed her direction, they will see how Tyra can be the next Oprah. :)

I thought that was Kim Wayans on In Living Color for a minute. :(

Her earlier topics were racy and silly. She went from having artists like TLC performing "Baby, Baby, Baby" on her stage to displaying her short term weightloss to talking about strange sex topics.

She was a sign of the talk show times back then and decided to defy the trend. It just so happened to work for her. Longterm. :)
