Cool!

Congratulations to the Petitioners to be at Parkland U!

This will be the first Petitioning Group for Section 50, since Section 50 is less than 10 years old... (Sections 47, 50 and 51 were formed from a split from section 48)

How very cool! Congratulations!

My cousin goes to Parkland. I think I need to have a talk with him when I see him over Thanksgiving! :D

Yes, you do! Several are graduating soon-ish and I want a charter application done by the end of the Spring 2010 semester, so they'll need all the members they can get to make that happen :-)

Congrats!

Congrats and welcome to the Parkland PG!

This past Sunday, Region III welcomed a new PG as well, at Winston-Salem State University.

Congratulations to WSSU!

Personally, I'm pleasantly surprised. WSSU wasn't listed as an interest group at the chapters look up on www.apo.org (http://www.apo.org/pages/show/About/...ation/Chapters)
and there is no mention of Alpha Phi Omega on the website for Winston-Salem State University at all!

Looking forward to the return of Tau Chi!

Additional Congratulations...

According to the National website, in the last month or so, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater has become a Petitioning Group and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale has become an interest group.

Does anyone have dates for either of these?

Quala67 11-24-2009 09:48 AM

Randy, don't be surprised. WSSU submitted IG stuff around the time that AAMD's were coming in hot and heavy, and PG stuff was mailed on Monday after a Sunday ceremony. (school rules required completion of intake before Thanksgiving)

SIU-C was IG as of last spring, late. (sorry, don't know exact date)

WSSU timing

IG to PG in two months (more or less)? Dang!!!

Congrats to the 8 students and 1 advisor who went through the Petitioning Ceremony tonight. Alpha Alpha conducted a superb ceremony, and the new PG had a great reception afterward. Also present were brothers from Theta Epsilon, several alumni from various chapters. the Section 50 Chair, Region VI Membership Chair, and National Membership & Extension Director.

The remaining members will be made petitioners at the first available opportunity.

Congrats!

Congrats to the PG at Parkland!

Congrats to the new PG. I wish some new chapters would open up in Philadelphia so I could see the ceremony. We have so many colleges without a chapter you would think one would start up eventually.

To see a PG ceremony

In the Philadelphia Area, your best chance in the near future would probably be the Interest Group at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, which is about an hour from Philly.

As for targets in the Pennsylvania part of Section 92, Eastern U., La Salle, Lincoln, Temple, and Ursinus are all inactive. In the Delaware part, Del State and Goldey Beacom....
