To Love and Be Loved: How important is it?
The more you love someone, the more they will love you. True or false? Your opinions, please.
Here is something which I think is true: men and women both seek one common thing - to be loved. If someone shows affection towards you, wouldn't you find that to be the most attractive thing about that person? The reason I bring this up is because of an e-mail conversation I had with someone, and I just wanted to hear different points of view;) |

totally and completely false. love isn't something that you can force on someone by loving them and trusting them with all your emotions. and a lot of times people won't love you the way that you want them to love you - that romantic way - but that doesn't mean that they don't love you as much as they possibly can. |

The idea of being loved is cool, but in practice, it has to be a mutual feeling that grows between you. You can't just love someone because you were loved, just as you can't expect someone to have feelings for you because you have feelings for them. It would be great if it worked that way, and you could will someone to have feelings for you, but unfortunately it doesn't happen like that. IT's kinda why love can be the game that it is sometimes.
Wow....I'm kinda getting to sound like a Hallmark card. |
