Hey everybody, I have a question. I am interested in learning more about membership for Zeta Phi Beta but I do not know when a chapter will reactivate at my college. I want to wait but I am also interested in Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority too. Should I wait until the Zeta Phi Beta chapter is re-activated or try for membership in Sigma Lambda Gamma

You need to research the organizations and figure out which one you want to pursue. Neither of them are going anywhere anytime soon.

You need to do your research and decide on which organization you want to pursue membership in regardless of what's on your campus. You don't want to choose a sorority simply because it's on your campus because you could regret it later. Membership is for life and extends beyond college so you should pursue the sorority that you will want to stay active in for a lifetime. You will NOT be able to join an NPHC organization later after you've been inducted into another general/social sorority. I don't know about Sigma Lambda Gamma, but undergrad members of NPHC organizations are expected to graduate and transfer to an alumnae chapter where they live to remain active in their organization and in their community for a lifetime. If joining via undergrad is not possible, you can always pursue membership in an alumnae chapter where you live, after you graduate. Bottom line, there should be no second choice.

Be careful you about pledging into the FIRM Fam when you're supposed to go into your respective org. Do your research, talk to the girls from both orgs and ***research!!!*** which one you feel is a better fit.
