Removing Greek letters from sweater..

Just curious if anyone knows a place in the NY area or a site that will remove the greek letters off the sweater. Personal reason of course, but just need it asap.

Off of a site or off of a sweater?

Wouldn't an embroidery shop or the cleaners be able to do this?

Or can you buy another sweater? Just sayin.

Why can't you just take it to your local cleaners?

If they are stitched on go to a store like Joanns, Michaels, or Walmart and buy a seam ripper. It cuts the thread and the letters will come right off.

If you take the letters off, won't the sweater have the little holes from the stitching?

No it wouldn't if you use a seam ripper. If you are able to get a pair of Nippers (they are scissors, but it allows for more control for being able to get in small places), you could do the same as with a seam ripper.

Careful - even if you use a seam ripper, they might still be affixed via an "iron on adhesive" underneath and then they still won't come off.
