mac user problems with firefox or facebook

am I the only one?

It won't let me look at my messages or change my status, which is pretty much the point of having a facebook.

I think Facebook is just crapping out right now.. I have a PC and Firefox, and for the past few days, my time on Facebook has just been terrible.

facebook has been a POS for the past few months.

DaemonSeid 10-27-2009 09:23 AM

facebook has been acting up quite a bit.

Firefaux and Macs don't get along too well, you may want to try Chrome.

Also what OS are you running? Snow Leopard?

I've had those issues with Facebook since the new live feed/news feed thing started. I went to update my status and after typing it all in, the "Share" button wouldn't show up. Ugh. Annoying.

Cool I'll try that. I actually am running the one it came with, so whatever was new in summer '06 is what I have. Is that too old?

That too. Plus, the message thing is blank.

I've never been impressed with Firefox for Macs. I really think Safari works better.

.

Possible. You may want to see about adding more memory if it's possible and doing any updates to your software.

Sounds like you may still be running the OS X that came out before Leopard.

(Tiger I believe it is)

You may want to even consider seeing if your machine can handle an upgrade to Snow Leopard or see if you can get a Leopard upgrade first.

DO NOT UPGRADE TO SNOW LEOPARD!

There are issues galore with it. If you can, upgrade to just Leopard. If not, stick with what you have. Wait at least 3-4 more months before even thinking about upgrading to Snow Leopard.

I haven't had any problems with it.

But also considering that he has an older machine, I would have to agree with the warning.

I'm not a MAC user, buttt...

I've been having problems with Firefox for a while on the PC. My husband and I have switched to Google Chrome, and things are a lot better with Facebook and other sites. :D
