How do you find more out about a place with weak greek life?

I honestly did not know that that USF had a super weak until browsing a few forums. Can anyone tell me more about the fraternities at FL, USF?

What's your definition of "weak"? other than this post

Well from my understanding a fair amount of the frats here don't have houses. Plus there are only about 12. On top of that it is hard for me to know anything about it because I live 40 miles away at a satellite campus.

Wow, 12 is weak? I gotta get around to bigger campuses more...

I came from Univeristy of Florida. 12 is weak.

Numbers do not determine strength of a system. You can have a strong Greek system with two fraternities. Calling USF a "super weak" Greek system for having only 12 fraternities is looking at only one facet and is "super stupid."

Woop woop! A-hole alert!

tiako, i have never heard that greeklife at usf is weak-it is different than greek life at uf. usf started off as a mostly commuter school, so greek life developed a bit differently than it did at uf. i understand that many more students are living on or near campus now, so the flavor of student life has shifted.

12 fraternities should offer ample opportunity to anyone for a wonderful membership experience. find out for yourself.

13 IFCs, 6 NPHCs, 8 NPCs, and 13 "others" (independent, Caribbean, Latino, Asian, multicultural, etc.) http://usfgreeklife.com/page.php?page_id=15341
Doesn't sound like a weak Greek system to me...it might be different than what you're used to due to the lack of houses, but that doesn't mean it's weak.;)

USF also has a new-ish Greek village that houses all of the NPC sororities and at least some of the fraternities.

Thanks for filling me in about the system there. It is just hard to know anything about it when you are new here and so far away from main campus.

12 fraternities is excellent, we have 6. Just because you don't have a house doesn't mean you are weak, as far as we may know they may have chapter size of 75+.

Ole Miss has 9 NPC sororities. No one calls Ole Miss weak.
